## Biography

Hartley Gorenstein is a Canadian producer and production manager. Born on 2 June 1966 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he trained in law, graduating with honours from the University of Sheffield and obtaining a master's degree in biotechnological law and ethics, before entering the Toronto film industry.

He has worked as line producer and production manager on feature films including *Room* (2015) and *The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones* (2013), and as producer on titles such as *Polar* (2019) and entries in the Resident Evil franchise. On television he served as producer on *The Boys* (2019–2020) and *What We Do in the Shadows* (2019), and received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series for the former in 2021.

Gorenstein has also produced episodes of *Mayor of Kingstown* (2021) and *Chucky* (2023), and has served on Toronto's Film, Television and Digital Media Advisory Board.
