## Biography

Harve Bennett was an American television and film producer and screenwriter. Born Harvard Bennett Fischman in Chicago, Illinois, he appeared as a child on the radio programme Quiz Kids and later graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles film school.

Bennett produced and wrote for television series including The Mod Squad, The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman. He joined the Star Trek film series as executive producer and story contributor on Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982). He wrote and produced Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984), produced and contributed to the story and screenplay of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986), and produced Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989). He also produced the television film A Woman Called Golda (1982), for which he received an Emmy Award.

Bennett died in Medford, Oregon, in 2015.
