Harvey Atkin was a Canadian actor. Born Elliot Harvey Atkin on 18 December 1942 in Toronto, Ontario, he died there on 18 July 2017.

He appeared as Sergeant Ronald Coleman in the television series *Cagney & Lacey* (1982–1988). Atkin played Morty Melnick in the film *Meatballs* (1979) and had recurring roles as Judge Alan Ridenour in the *Law & Order* franchise, including *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (1999) and *Law & Order: Criminal Intent* (2001). He also appeared in *Silver Streak* (1976), *Barney's Version* (2010) and *Suits* (2011).

Atkin voiced King Koopa in the animated series *The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!* (1989), *The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3* (1990) and *Super Mario World* (1991), and Sam in *The Adventures of Sam & Max: Freelance Police* (1997–1998). He received a Genie Award nomination for *Meatballs*.
