## Biography

Harvey Hart (30 August 1928 – 21 November 1989) was a Canadian film and television director and producer. He graduated from the University of Toronto and began working for the CBC in 1952, where he directed and produced more than 30 television productions, including episodes of the anthology series *Festival*.

In 1963 he moved to the United States and directed episodes of series including *The Alfred Hitchcock Hour*, *Star Trek* (1966), *The Wild Wild West* and *Mannix*. He returned to Toronto in 1970 and directed feature films such as *Fortune and Men's Eyes* (1971), *The Pyx* (1973), *Shoot* (1976) and *Goldenrod* (1976). In the mid-1970s he directed four episodes of *Columbo*. He continued working between Canada and Los Angeles through the 1980s, directing the miniseries *East of Eden* (1981) and the television film *Passion and Paradise* (1989).
