Hatice Cengiz is a Turkish writer and academic. She appears as herself in the 2020 documentary *The Dissident*, in which she is interviewed about the murder of her fiancé, the journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Born on 6 April 1982, Cengiz has been featured in several documentaries and television programmes discussing Khashoggi's death and related events, including appearances on *Frontline* (2019) and *Foreign Correspondent* (2020).
