Hattie Morahan, also credited as Harriet Jane Morahan, is an English actress. She was born on 7 October 1978 in Lambeth, London. Her father, Christopher Morahan, was a television and stage director, and her mother, Anna Carteret, is an actress. She was educated at Frensham Heights School and studied English Literature at New Hall, Cambridge, graduating in 2000.

Morahan made her screen debut in the 1996 BBC adaptation of *The Peacock Spring*, directed by her father. Her television credits include Beth Lucas-Hall in the 2005 series *Bodies* and the recurring role of Jane in *Outnumbered* (2007–2024). Film roles include Gale Benson in *The Bank Job* (2008) and Ann Kelmot in *Mr. Holmes* (2015). She has also appeared in *Sense and Sensibility* (2008) as Elinor Dashwood and *Beauty and the Beast* (2017) as Agathe.
