Hattie Winston is an American actress. She was born on 3 March 1945 in Lexington, Mississippi, and raised in Greenville, Mississippi. She played Simone in the 1997 film *Jackie Brown*.

Winston began her career on the stage in New York City. She appeared in Broadway productions including *The Me Nobody Knows* (1970–71) and *Two Gentlemen of Verona* (1972–73), and was a member of the Negro Ensemble Company. She graduated from Howard University on a voice scholarship and later joined the cast of the PBS children's series *The Electric Company*.

Her other notable credits include the role of Margaret Wyborn on the television series *Becker* (1998–2004), the voice of Lucy Carmichael in *The Rugrats Movie* (1998) and related series, and film roles in *Beverly Hills Cop III* (1994) and *True Crime* (1999). She has also appeared in numerous guest roles on television.
