## Biography

Hayden Pearce (1943–2009) was a Welsh production designer and art director. Born in Monmouthshire, he worked extensively in British film and television, often on low-budget horror productions in the 1970s and 1980s before shifting to Welsh-language and independent features.

His credits include production design on *Inseminoid* (1981), *Bloody New Year* (1987, on which he also served as writer and producer), *Go Now* (1995), *Solomon & Gaenor* (1999) and *A Way of Life* (2004). He frequently collaborated with his wife, art director Frazer Pearce. Pearce received three wins and one nomination for his work.

He died in Frome, Somerset, in December 2009.
