## Biography

Heinz Landsmann was a German film producer, production manager and location manager. He began working in production roles around 1910 and was active in the Berlin film industry from the end of the First World War onwards.

He is credited as producer on G. W. Pabst’s *Pandora’s Box* (1929) and as unit production manager on Pabst’s *Diary of a Lost Girl* (1929). Landsmann also produced *A varieté csillagai* (1939) and held production or location management positions on numerous other German films of the 1920s to 1940s, including *The White Hell of Pitz Palu* (1929).

In 1919 he appeared as an actor in Ernst Lubitsch’s comedy *Meyer aus Berlin*. Landsmann died in Berlin in 1950.
