## Biography

Heinz von Jaworsky was a German cinematographer active from the early 1930s to the late 1960s. He began his career as an assistant to cameraman Hans Schneeberger and contributed to films including Leni Riefenstahl's *Das blaue Licht* (1932). He specialised in aerial, documentary and special photography, working on multiple productions during the Nazi era such as *Wunder des Fliegens* (1935), *Der Kaiser von Kalifornien* (1936) and *D III 88* (1939).

Jaworsky served as one of the cinematographers on Leni Riefenstahl's two-part documentary *Olympia* (1938). After the war he worked in both East and West Germany on projects including DEFA newsreels and *Quax, der Bruchpilot* (1941). He later emigrated to the United States, where he continued working under the name Henry Jaworsky on shorts and features until the late 1960s.
