Helen Craig was an American actress born on 13 May 1912 in San Antonio, Texas. She died on 20 July 1986 in New York City.

She was primarily a stage performer and created the title role of the deaf-mute Belinda in the original 1940 Broadway production of *Johnny Belinda*. Her other Broadway credits included *Russet Mantle* (1936), *As You Like It* (1941) and *The House of Bernarda Alba* (1951). She was a graduate of Orson Welles’ Mercury Theatre.

Craig appeared in films including *The Snake Pit* (1948) as Nurse Davis and *They Live by Night* (1949) as Mattie. On television she had roles in series such as *Kojak*. She was married to actor John Beal from 1934 until her death.
