## Biography

Helen Shang is a television writer and producer. She was a member of the CBS Diversity Writer’s Mentorship programme in 2010 and a fellow of the CAPE New Writer’s Fellowship in 2014.

Her early credits include production staff work on *Body of Proof* (2013) and researcher on *The Chicago Code* (2011). She wrote one episode of *Hannibal* (2015) and served as story editor and writer on the seventh season of *Hawaii Five-0* (2016–2017).

Shang has written episodes of *13 Reasons Why* (2019), *The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power* (2022–2024), *Invincible* (2025) and *Avatar: The Last Airbender* (2026). She has also written short films including *Scratch* (2016) and *Distance* (2014).
