Henny Youngman was an American comedian and actor. Born Henry Youngman in London in 1906, he moved with his family to Brooklyn, New York, as a child. He began performing in the 1920s and became known for his rapid-fire one-liner delivery, often accompanied by violin playing.

Youngman appeared in numerous films and television programmes, frequently in cameo roles as himself. His credits include *History of the World: Part I* (1981), *Silent Movie* (1976), *Death Wish II* (1982), *Amazon Women on the Moon* (1987) and *GoodFellas* (1990). He died in New York City in 1998.
