## Biography

Henry Bean (born 3 August 1945) is an American screenwriter, film director, producer, novelist and actor. He was born in Philadelphia and studied at Yale University and Stanford University.

Bean wrote the screenplays for *Internal Affairs* (1990), *Deep Cover* (1992), *The Believer* (2001), *Basic Instinct 2* (2006) and *Noise* (2007). He directed and acted in *The Believer*, and directed and produced *Noise*. He also wrote episodes of the series *The OA* (2016). *The Believer* won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival.
