## Biography

Herbert Kebelmann (1907–1996) was a German cinematographer, film director and producer. He began his career with landscape films in the early 1930s and later worked extensively as a cameraman on documentary projects.

Kebelmann served as one of the cinematographers on Leni Riefenstahl’s *Triumph of the Will* (1935) and contributed to her *Olympia* films (1938). His other credits include work on short films documenting landscapes, fishing communities and later subjects such as the Atlantikwall in 1944. He also directed and produced a number of short films throughout his career.
