## Biography

Hideichi Nagahara was a Japanese screenwriter, also credited as Shuichi Nagahara. His earliest credited work was the screenplay for *A Colt Is My Passport* (1967). He co-wrote the screenplay for *The War in Space* (1977) with Ryūzō Nakanishi.

Nagahara wrote the screenplay for *The Return of Godzilla* (1984), the first entry in the Heisei Godzilla series. He received a credit on the American version *Godzilla 1985* (1985). He died in Tokyo on 14 November 2001.
