## Biography

Hiromichi Matano (又野 弘道, also credited as またのひろみち) is a Japanese anime director and storyboard artist. He began working in animation in the late 1970s, contributing as an episode director and storyboard artist on series such as *The Ultraman* (1979) and *King of 100 Beasts Golion* (1981).

Matano has directed episodes or served as episode director on numerous television series, including *Slam Dunk* (1993), *Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters* (2000), *Pokémon* (1997), *Blue Gender* (1999), *Golden Time* (2013), *Parasyte -the maxim-* (2014), *Haikyu!!* (2014), *Dororo* (2019), *We Never Learn: BOKUBEN* (2019) and *PLUTO* (2023).
