Hiroshi Takahashi is a Japanese screenwriter and director. He was born on 8 August 1959 in Chiba, Japan.

Takahashi wrote the screenplay for the 1998 film *Ring*, directed by Hideo Nakata and based on the novel by Kōji Suzuki. He contributed to the screenplays for its sequels *Ring 2* (1999) and *Ring 0: Birthday* (2000), and received screenplay credit on the 2002 American remake *The Ring*. His other credits include *Ju-On: Origins* (2020) and *The Ghost Station* (2023).
