## Biography

Hiroshi Yamaguchi is a Japanese screenwriter and novelist. Born on 29 July 1964 in Yonago, Tottori Prefecture, he is one of the founding members of the animation studio Gonzo.

He wrote scripts for *Neon Genesis Evangelion* (1995), specifically episodes 16, 22 and 23. His other credits include series composition and writing for *Gate Keepers* (2000), *Betterman* (1999) and *Argento Soma* (2000). He has also written for *Gurren Lagann* (2007), *Dragon Ball Super* (2015), *Rosario + Vampire* (2008) and *Digimon Adventure:* (2020).

Yamaguchi left Gonzo in 2001 to work as a freelancer and has since contributed to numerous anime and tokusatsu series.
