## Biography

Hiroyuki Kawase is a Japanese actor. He began working as a child performer after joining the Nihon Jido theatre group and appeared in an episode of the television series *The Guardman* and a production of *The Trojan Women*.

His best-known roles are as the Beggar's Son in Akira Kurosawa's *Dodes'ka-den* (1970), Ken Yano in *Godzilla vs. Hedorah* (1971) and Rokuro 'Roku-chan' Ibuki in *Godzilla vs. Megalon* (1973). He also appeared in episodes of *Return of Ultraman* (1971) and *Mirrorman* (1972), and in *Zone Fighter* (1973).

Kawase retired from acting in the mid-1970s. He later worked for Japan Airlines.
