Holly Gent, also credited as Holly Gent Palmo, is a screenwriter. She co-wrote the screenplay for *Me and Orson Welles* (2008) with her husband, Vincent Palmo Jr., adapting Robert Kaplow's novel; the film was directed by Richard Linklater.

Gent studied at the University of Texas and began her career in film production. She worked as a production coordinator and in other roles on projects including the 1989 miniseries *Lonesome Dove* and Linklater's *Dazed and Confused* (1993). She later collaborated with Linklater again as co-producer and co-writer on *Me and Orson Welles*.

Her other screenwriting credits include *Where'd You Go, Bernadette* (2019) and *Nouvelle Vague* (2025).
