## Biography

Hossein Amini is an Iranian-born British screenwriter and film director. He has worked as a screenwriter since the early 1990s.

Amini wrote the screenplay for *Drive* (2011). He is also credited on the screenplay for *Clayface* (2026). His other film credits include *The Wings of the Dove* (1997), *The Four Feathers* (2002), *Snow White and the Huntsman* (2012), *47 Ronin* (2013), *The Two Faces of January* (2014), which he also directed, *Our Kind of Traitor* (2016) and *The Snowman* (2017).

On television, he created and wrote *McMafia* (2018) and contributed to *The Alienist* (2018) and *Obi-Wan Kenobi* (2022). He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for *The Wings of the Dove*.
