Howard Freeman was an American actor who worked in theatre, film and television. He began his career on the stage in the 1930s and appeared in numerous Broadway productions through the early 1960s.

Freeman entered films in 1942 and built a career of supporting and bit parts, often uncredited. His screen credits include *The Killers* (1946), *The Blue Dahlia* (1946), *Letter from an Unknown Woman* (1948) as Herr Kastner, *The Snake Pit* (1948) and *Scaramouche* (1952). From 1951 he worked increasingly in television, with roles continuing until 1965.

He retired from acting in 1965 and died in New York City in 1967.
