Hugh S. Fowler (24 July 1912 – 2 August 1975) was an American film editor. He spent virtually his entire career at Twentieth Century-Fox, beginning as an assistant editor and receiving his first full editing credit on *Phone Call from a Stranger* (1952). Over two decades he edited around 38 feature films, all Twentieth releases.

Fowler is noted for his work on *Gentlemen Prefer Blondes* (1953) and *The Seven Year Itch* (1955), both featuring Marilyn Monroe, as well as *Planet of the Apes* (1968) and *Patton* (1970), the latter directed by Franklin J. Schaffner. His editing on *Patton* earned him the Academy Award for Best Film Editing and an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award. His final film was *The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean* (1972), directed by John Huston. He also edited episodes of several television series.
