## Biography

I.C. Rapoport is an American screenwriter. He studied at Ohio University and began his career as a photojournalist in the 1960s before transitioning to screenwriting in the 1970s.

Rapoport wrote for the series *Law & Order* (1990) from 1991 to 1999, contributing as writer, story editor and executive story editor on numerous episodes. His other television credits include *Born to the Wind* (1981), of which he was creator and producer, *Profiler* (1999–2000) and *Law & Order: UK* (2009–2013). He also wrote several television films, including *I Married Wyatt Earp* (1983) and *Jericho Fever* (1993).

In 1997 he received an Edgar Allan Poe Mystery Writers' Award and a Writers Guild of America nomination.
