Ian Burfield is an English actor born on 9 November 1964 in London. He trained at Mountview Theatre School and the Actors Studio, and is a company member of the National Theatre.

Burfield has appeared in numerous television series, often in police or detective roles, including multiple characters across 39 episodes of *EastEnders* (notably DCI Peter Arthurs from 2018) and 12 episodes of *The Bill*. His film credits include *V for Vendetta* (2005) as the Tweed Coat Fingerman, *The International* (2009) as Thomas Schumer, and *The Selfish Giant* (2013) as Mick Brazil. He has also performed in National Theatre productions screened as part of National Theatre Live, including *The Kitchen* (2011) and *The Comedy of Errors* (2012).
