## Biography

Ian Seabrook is a Canadian cinematographer specialising in underwater work. He began as a stills photographer, diving and photographing on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, and transitioned to underwater cinematography in 1998 after earlier work as a camera assistant. He is also a professional diver.

Seabrook has contributed underwater sequences to numerous feature films, including *Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice* (2016), *Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales* (2017), *Deadpool 2* (2018), *Glass* (2019) and *Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny* (2023). For the National Geographic documentary *The Rescue* (2021), he photographed the underwater recreations of the Tham Luang cave rescue.

His work on *The Rescue* earned him the Critics’ Choice Documentary Award for Best Cinematography.
