## Biography

Ian Sutherland (born 9 July 1957) is a British television editor. He has worked on numerous drama series, including episodes of *Spooks* (also known as *MI-5*), *Trial & Retribution*, *Silent Witness*, *Above Suspicion* and *Critical*.

Sutherland was one of the first editors in Britain to use non-linear editing systems on drama productions. He has lectured on editing at the National Film and Television School and other institutions.
