## Biography

Imani Hakim is an American actress. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she began studying acting at the age of seven at Karamu House Theater in Cleveland. At eleven she moved to Los Angeles with her father and within months was cast in her first major role.

Hakim is known for playing Tonya Rock in the sitcom *Everybody Hates Chris* (2005–2009). Her other credits include the films *Reign Over Me* (2007), *Cam* (2018) and *Burning Sands* (2017), the television film *The Gabby Douglas Story* (2014) and a recurring role as Dana in the series *Mythic Quest* (2020–).
