## Biography

Ine Schenkkan was a Dutch film editor and director. She began her career as a dancer with the Nationaal Ballet before training as a camerawoman at the Netherlands Film Academy, from which she graduated in 1966. She later worked primarily as an editor.

Schenkkan edited several films directed by Paul Verhoeven, including *Spetters* (1980), *The 4th Man* (1983) and *Flesh + Blood* (1985). She subsequently directed feature films such as *Vroeger is dood* (1987), which received a Gouden Kalf award, and *Jan Rap en z'n maat* (1989). She died in Amsterdam in 2001.
