Irene Lentz (1901–1962), also known professionally as Irene or Irene Gibbons, was an American costume designer and fashion designer. She began her career in Hollywood as an actress in silent films, then opened a dress shop before designing for the Bullocks Wilshire department store in Los Angeles.

Her film costume work began in the 1930s with credits such as *Goldie Gets Along* (1933) and gowns for Ginger Rogers in *Shall We Dance* (1937). She designed for *To Be or Not to Be* (1942) and served as executive costume designer at MGM from 1942, contributing to films including *Gaslight* (1944), *Meet Me in St. Louis* (1944) and *The Postman Always Rings Twice* (1946). Lentz received Academy Award nominations for *B.F.'s Daughter* (1948) and *Midnight Lace* (1960). She left MGM in 1950 to establish her own fashion house but returned to film design in the early 1960s for *Lover Come Back* (1961).
