## Biography

Isaac Aptaker is an American television and film writer and producer. He is best known for his work as a writer and co-showrunner, alongside Elizabeth Berger and Dan Fogelman, on the NBC series *This Is Us* (2016–2022).

Aptaker was born in Arlington, Massachusetts. He studied screenwriting at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he met Berger; the pair have written as a team since around 2005. Their credits include the series *The Neighbors* (2012) and *Grandfathered* (2015), the screenplay for the film *Love, Simon* (2018), and the series *Love, Victor* (2020) and *How I Met Your Father* (2022). They also wrote the screenplay for *I Want You Back* (2022). Aptaker has received Primetime Emmy nominations for his work on *This Is Us*.
