## Biography

Isabelle Sobelman is a French screenwriter, novelist and art critic. Born in 1962 in Boulogne, she has written novels including *Jalouse* (1989) and *En attendant Beckett* (1987).

She co-wrote the screenplay for the biographical film *La Vie en Rose* (2007, also known as *La Môme*) with director Olivier Dahan. The film, which depicts the life of Édith Piaf, starred Marion Cotillard. Sobelman is also credited as writer on *Larry & Viv* and appeared as herself in the 2003 television documentary *Piaf, sans amour on n'est rien du tout*.
