## Biography

István Király is a Hungarian film editor. He began his career in the central recording department of Hungarian Public Television (MTV) after high school and transitioned to editing commercials, music videos and television documentaries in the late 1990s.

His first feature credit was the 2002 Hungarian comedy *A Kind of America* (*Valami Amerika*). He edited the international production *Basic Instinct 2* (2006) after being recommended by cinematographer Gyula Pados, and has worked on numerous Hungarian features including *Kontroll* (2003), *Post Mortem* (2020) and *Our Ladies* (2019). Király has received multiple Hungarian Film Award nominations and wins for editing.
