## Biography

Itziar Castro i Rivadulla (14 February 1977 – 8 December 2023) was a Spanish actress. Her professional career began in 2002 with a role in the feature film *Noche de fiesta*. She gained her first credited feature film part in *Unconscious* (2004) and appeared in television series such as *El cor de la ciutat*.

Castro is known for her role as Goya Fernández in the series *Locked Up* (2015–2020) and its spin-off *Locked Up: The Oasis* (2020). Other notable screen credits include *Blancanieves* (2012) as Tocinillo de cielo, *Skins* (2017) as Itziar (for which she received a Goya Award nomination for Best New Actress), *Champions* (2018) as the mother of Jesús, and *The Coffee Table* (2023). She also appeared in *Alpha Males* (2022) and earlier in *La que se avecina* (2007).
