## Biography

Iwao Saitô is a Japanese production designer and art director. Born in 1958 in Aomori Prefecture, he graduated from Doshisha University in 1982 and joined Nikkatsu the same year. He later studied under art director Takeo Kimura.

His credits include production design on *Ring* (1998), *The Grudge* (2004), *The Grudge 2* (2006), *Kingdom* (2019) and *I Am a Hero* (2016). He has also worked as art director on *Alice in Borderland* (2020), *Bleach* (2018) and *Inuyashiki* (2018).
