J. Miller Tobin is an American television director and producer. Born John Miller Tobin on 13 January 1961 in Hutchinson County, Texas, he began his career in the late 1980s working as an assistant director on feature films including *Fresh* (1994) and *The 24 Hour Woman* (1999).

As a director, Tobin has worked on numerous television series, including *Oz* (1997), *The Agency*, *Numb3rs*, *Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles* (2008), *Supernatural*, *Gossip Girl*, *Pretty Little Liars*, *The Mentalist*, *Criminal Minds* and *The Vampire Diaries* (2009), on which he also served as a producer.
