J. Roy Hunt, also credited as Roy Hunt and T. Roy Hunt, was an American cinematographer. Born John Roy Hunt on 7 July 1884 in Caperton, West Virginia, he worked in motion pictures from the silent era, beginning around 1916, until the early 1950s. He was a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.

Hunt served as director of photography on more than 200 films. His credits include *Beau Geste* (1926), *Flying Down to Rio* (1933), *She* (1935), *I Walked with a Zombie* (1943), *Crossfire* (1947) and *Mighty Joe Young* (1949). He died in October 1972 in Sheffield, Alabama.
