## Biography

Jacek Petrycki is a Polish cinematographer, film director and screenwriter. Born on 1 December 1948 in Poznań, he is the son of cinematographer Roman Petrycki. He graduated in cinematography from the Łódź Film School in 1970, receiving his diploma in 1976.

He has worked extensively with directors including Krzysztof Kieślowski on films such as *Camera Buff* (1979), *Talking Heads* (1980) and *No End* (1985), and Agnieszka Holland on *Europa Europa* (1990) and others. He has also collaborated frequently with Marcel Łoziński on documentaries. Since 1987 he has worked on projects for British broadcasters including the BBC and Channel 4. Petrycki received a BAFTA award for his cinematography on the documentary *The Betrayed* (1995).
