## Biography

Jack Barth is an Anglo-American writer and television producer. He wrote the season seven episode 'A Fish Called Selma' of *The Simpsons* (1996) and contributed lyrics to songs in the episode. A former editor of the Stanford Chaparral, he has written for film, television, books and magazines.

Barth created the story that formed the basis for the 2019 film *Yesterday*, for which he received a co-story credit with Richard Curtis. He wrote and produced several British television series presented by Jonathan Ross, including *Americana* (1992), *Japanorama* (2002–2007) and *Asian Invasion* (2006). His books include the co-authored *Roadside America* (1986) and *Sold Short*.
