Jack Smight (1925–2003) was an American theatre and film director. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he attended Cretin High School with future actor Peter Graves and studied drama at the University of Minnesota after serving in the US Army Air Forces during the Second World War.

Smight directed episodes of television series including *The Twilight Zone* (1959–1961) and *The Alfred Hitchcock Hour*. He won a Primetime Emmy Award for directing the 1958 play *Eddie* starring Mickey Rooney. His feature films include *Harper* (1966), *No Way to Treat a Lady* (1968), *Airport 1975* (1974) and *Midway* (1976). He also directed the 1960 Broadway play *The 49th Cousin*.
