## Biography

Jacob Shea is an American composer. He graduated from the University of California with a degree in music composition. He has worked with composers including Elliot Goldenthal, Steve Jablonsky, Henry Jackman and Hans Zimmer, and is a lead composer at Bleeding Fingers Music.

Shea co-composed the score for the BBC series *Planet Earth II* (2016) alongside Jasha Klebe and Hans Zimmer, who wrote the main theme. His other credits for the Planet Earth franchise include *Blue Planet II* (2017), *Seven Worlds, One Planet* (2019) and *Planet Earth III* (2023). He has also composed for *Pagan Peak* (2019) and *Hagen* (2024).

Shea has received Primetime Emmy nominations for his documentary scores, including for *Planet Earth II* and *Planet Earth III*, and BMI awards for other television work.
