She is best known for playing Detective Rita Ortiz in the ABC series *NYPD Blue* (2001–2005). Her film roles include Angelica in *Six Days, Seven Nights* (1998), Carmen in *Tortilla Soup* (2001) and the voice of Audrey in *Atlantis: The Lost Empire* (2001) and its sequel (2003).
