## Biography

Jacques Grassi was a French film editor and assistant director. He worked on numerous French features from the 1930s onwards, with credits including *Train de plaisir* (1936), *Farinet ou l'or dans la montagne* (1939), *A Cage of Nightingales* (1945), *La maison sous la mer* (1947) and *La dame de chez Maxim* (1950).

Grassi edited *Monsieur Hulot's Holiday* (1953), directed by Jacques Tati. He also served as assistant director on *Brazza ou l'épopée du Congo* (1940) and co-directed the short film *Premier roman* (1949).
