He was born on 31 August 1943 in Marciac, Gers. Nolot began his screen career in the early 1980s with small roles in films by André Téchiné, including *Hôtel des Amériques* (1981). He appeared as Monsieur Morelli in Téchiné’s *Wild Reeds* (1994) and later took supporting parts in films such as *Under the Sand* (2001), *House of Pleasures* (2011) and *Everything Went Fine* (2021).
