Jacques Vergès (1925–2013) was a French-Algerian lawyer and political activist who appeared as himself in several documentaries. He is credited as Self in *Hôtel Terminus: The Life and Times of Klaus Barbie* (1988), directed by Marcel Ophüls.

Vergès gained prominence defending clients in high-profile cases, including FLN militants during the Algerian War and later figures such as Klaus Barbie. He is also featured in *Terror's Advocate* (2007). Born in Ubon Ratchathani, Siam (now Thailand), to a Vietnamese mother and French father, he died in Paris.
