Jacques Viot (1898–1973) was a French novelist and screenwriter. He began writing screenplays in the mid-1930s and collaborated with directors including Marcel Carné, Jacques Feyder and Marcel Camus.

His credits include the original scenario for *Daybreak* (1939), screenplay for *The Long Night* (1947) and contributions to *Black Orpheus* (1959). After the Second World War he studied at HEC Paris and later worked in insurance in Nantes.
