## Biography

Jaimie D'Cruz is a British documentary film producer and director. He began his career as a music journalist, founding and editing the hip hop magazine *TOUCH* between 1990 and 1998. From 1998 he made television documentaries for Channel 4.

His first feature-length documentary not made for television was *Exit Through the Gift Shop* (2010), directed by Banksy, on which he served as producer. The film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature. In 2011 he co-founded the independent production company Acme Films with Francesca Newby.
