## Biography

Jake Panian is an American art director, visual development artist and production designer based in Los Angeles. He studied at San Jose State University, where he earned a BFA.

His credits include visual development on *The Mitchells vs. the Machines* (2021) and *Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse* (2023), colour and set design on *Epic* (2013), and production design on the animated feature *Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender* (2026). He was nominated for a VES Award in 2014 for his work on *Epic*. An early production painting by Panian was used as the cover for the novel *Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender: A Novel*.
