Jake T. Austin is an American actor. Born Jake Austin Szymanski on 3 December 1994 in New York City, he began his career in commercials at the age of seven.

He is best known for playing Max Russo in the Disney Channel series *Wizards of Waverly Place* (2007–2012) and its television films, and for voicing Diego in the Nickelodeon series *Go, Diego, Go!* (2005–2011). Other credits include the role of Jesus Foster in *The Fosters* (2013–2015) and voice work as Fernando in *Rio* (2011) and *Rio 2* (2014), and as Alex in *The Emoji Movie* (2017).
